Is it possible to purchase the film privately?
Yes, the film is available for both commercial and private customers.
How do I find the right dimensions for ordering film sheets or film rolls?

Do the PV modules need to be cleaned before applying the film?
Yes. For the film application, the solar module must be free of particles, other contaminants, and grease. In general, common household cleaning agents are sufficient for this. Please follow the guidelines provided by the solar module manufacturer.
Can custom sizes of the film be ordered from you?
Yes, we also offer films in custom sizes. Please use our contact form to submit a request. We will then be happy to provide you with a personalized offer.
How does the film affect the performance and annual yield of my solar modules?
The XRF anti-glare film reduces the solar module output power under perpendicular light incidence to about 97% to 95% of the original power. The exact value depends on the specific module type. Experience shows that the voltage level of the laminated solar modules remains unchanged.
For oblique light incidence, the power reduction is lower, as the module power with the XRF anti-glare film is more stable with respect to the angle.
How does the film behave on a PV module during heavy hail?
We conducted hail tests with 35 mm thick hailstones without any damage to the film or the PV module. Currently, hail tests are underway to determine whether the film can even provide additional protection against hail damage.
Is there a warranty on the anti-glare film?
Yes, we offer a 15-year functional warranty. You can find details in the download section.
Does the film application affect the solar module's warranty?
As a rule, your manufacturer's warranty remains fully intact because the film does not interfere with the technology and can generally be removed from the solar module. However, since the final decision regarding warranty claims always lies with the respective module manufacturer, we cannot provide a binding guarantee for this.
How does the film behave in terms of soiling?
The surface of the film is hydrophilic, preventing individual water droplets from remaining and drying on it. Instead, moisture flows off quickly and efficiently across the entire surface. We have observed that contaminants such as pollen, Saharan dust, or bird droppings are completely washed away by rain.
Installation of the anti-glare film
How is the film applied to the modules?
For an optimal installation result, we recommend involving a sign technician or film applicator for applying the anti-glare film. We are happy to connect you with one of our partners in your region.
Alternatively, the film can also be applied by hand with two people using a squeegee and soapy water. You can find our video tutorial on YouTube. A written guide is available in the download section.
As a general rule, we recommend dismantling the solar modules before applying the film and performing the application on the ground.
Can I also commission Phytonics to apply the film to my modules?
You can request such a service directly through our contact form, and we will then create a customized offer for you.
Can the film also be applied to solar modules on the roof?
We recommend dismantling the solar modules so that cleaning and applying the film can be done on the ground.
In individual cases, it may also be possible to apply the film on the roof – for example, on solar systems installed on walkable flat roofs, provided the solar modules are sufficiently accessible. However, the solar modules must only be at ambient temperature and not in operation. Additionally, proper fall protection must be ensured!
On non-walkable, sloped roofs, applying the film on the roof is not possible and is excluded.
Which application agent should I use?
We recommend using the product "Applikator 2.0" from Bruxsafol for applying the Anti-glare film, at a concentration of 3 g/L to 4 g/L in distilled water.
We advise against using higher concentrations. If the initial adhesion of the film is too low, the soap concentration should be reduced.

Solar modules with anti-glare film
How can I order solar modules with anti-glare film?
Pre-coated solar modules are now available for purchase from us. These anti-glare solar modules are equipped with the anti-glare film in our production. Various module types from multiple manufacturers are available to meet your specific requirements.
Is the module manufacturer's warranty still valid?
The manufacturer (Solyco) provides a full model-specific warranty on the product and the performance of its solar modules, which we have retrofitted with our anti-glare film. The reference for the performance warranty is the nominal power value of the solar modules after applying our film.
