Intersolar Europe 2026: Anti-Glare Takes Center Stage

Intersolar Europe 2026 in Munich has clearly shown that global PV expansion is reaching new heights – and with it, the relevance of anti-glare solutions. The trade fair reflected a noticeable shift in the market and a growing awareness of the issue within the industry.

Market Trends and Technological Differences

A look around the exhibition halls reveals that an increasing number of anti-glare products are being offered on the market. However, a closer look at the technologies reveals significant qualitative differences: many standard products do not provide clear guarantees regarding actual glare-freedom, and their reflected luminance levels are often significantly higher than with Phytonics technology. For project developers and EPCs, choosing the right module surface therefore remains a critical risk factor in the permitting process.

High Demand Driven by New High-Risk Surfaces

The Phytonics booth was highly frequented, just as it was last year. The interest from installers and EPCs can essentially be divided into two categories:

  • Growing Awareness: Many professional visitors are only now discovering the topic because critical surfaces such as north-facing roofs or steep facades are increasingly being equipped with PV systems.
  • Acute Problem Cases: More and more project planners reported concrete complaints from residents or regulatory conditions and were looking for reliable solutions.

In addition to the residential and commercial rooftop segment, we also noticed a significantly growing interest in large-scale projects (EPCs) as well as increasing demand from the Asian market.

Successful Synergies with Solyco

An important real-world example at the trade fair was our cooperation with Solyco. A sample module enhanced with Phytonics film was presented at their booth. The partnership worked exceptionally well during the busy fair: inquiries for factory-foiled modules or larger project requests were easily transferred and resolved directly between the teams.

Conclusion

Intersolar 2026 has confirmed that glare-freedom is shifting from a niche topic to a permanent planning requirement. Phytonics provides the necessary technological security and reliable guarantees for this. We would like to thank everyone for the constructive discussions and look forward to implementing these new projects.
